Connecting State and University Fleet Leaders

Mission

NASUF connects and supports state and university fleet professionals through education, peer collaboration, benchmarking, and the exchange of ideas and best practices that advance effective and innovative fleet management.

Vision

To be the leading organization connecting, supporting, and representing state and university fleet professionals.

About NASUF

Founded in 1986 as the National Conference of State Fleet Administrators (NCSFA), the organization was established to promote communication, professional education, collaboration, and growth among public-sector fleet professionals.

In 2023, members voted to rename the organization the National Alliance of State and University Fleets (NASUF), reflecting the organization's growing university representation and its commitment to serving both state and university fleet professionals.

NASUF members are responsible for managing complex fleet operations within their organizations, with responsibilities that may include budgeting, vehicle specification and acquisition, leasing, maintenance and repair, fuel and energy management, technology implementation, vehicle replacement, and disposal.

Through educational programming, peer-to-peer networking, benchmarking, and engagement with industry partners, NASUF provides a collaborative environment where fleet professionals can exchange knowledge, address shared challenges, and identify solutions that strengthen their organizations and the fleet management profession.

Transparency and Accountability

The National Alliance of State and University Fleets (NASUF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to responsible governance, financial accountability, and transparency.

In accordance with IRS requirements, NASUF makes its annual Form 990 filings and tax-exemption documentation available for public inspection. Requests for additional information or copies of applicable documents may be directed to NASUF headquarters.
